There isn't a way to convert a digital image into a 3D model in Chief Architect; however, you can use an image or of a floor plan, or a PDF, as a template to trace over.
There are several ways to create a colored floor plan in Home Designer Pro, one of which would involve using fill patterns and changing line styles.
Image files can be imported into a floor plan view by navigating to File> Import> Import Picture. The imported image can then be modified using the object's edit handles, and it can be traced over using the various tools located in your Home Designer software.
