Some walls, floors and ceilings are not generating framing.
Floor framing specifically will not generate without the presence of a Foundation. Otherwise, framing for the floor and ceiling will not generate, even if there is sufficient platform thickness for each, if certain attributes within the Room Specification dialog box are checked. See the procedure below to ensure that these attributes within Room Specification dialog box are not conflicting with the framing of your model.
Wall framing will not regenerate if Retain Wall Framing is turned on or if the framing layer of the wall is specified as something other than a framing material.
To ensure that floor and ceiling framing generates properly
With your plan open, click on the Select Objects arrow tool on the toolbar.
Determine which room in your structure is not framing correctly. Click to select the room and press the Open Object tool, to open the Room Specification dialog.
Within the Structure panel, make sure that the check boxes for Ceiling Over This Room and Roof Over This Room are checked, as well as Floor Under This Room.
If these entries are not checked, place check marks in the check boxes and then click the OK button.
Once you have clicked the OK button, rebuild framing for the floor and ceiling of your structure. From the menu select Build> Framing> Build Framing .
Within the Build Framing dialog go to the Foundation panel and check Build floor framing.
Note: A Foundation floor must be present for this option to be available.
In the panel list notice the different panels for each floor and check the Build Floor Framing check box for each floor except the top floor.
For the topmost floor Check the Build Ceiling Framing check box.
Once you click the OK button, the floor and ceiling framing should display in your model.
To ensure wall framing generates
Using the Select Objects tool, select the wall that is not generating framing and click Open Object .
In the Wall Specification dialog, on the Structure panel, verify that there is not a checkmark in Retain Wall Framing.
Switch to the Wall Types panel and click the Define button next to the wall type drop down menu.
In the Wall Type Definition dialog, using the wall diagram, select the framing layer of wall.
Verify that the material being used for this layer is a framing material such as Fir Stud 24" OC.
Click OK on both the Wall Type Definition and the Wall Specification dialog when done.
Rebuild framing by selecting Build> Framing> Build Framing .
Select the Wall panel and put a checkmark in Build Wall Framing and click OK.
