QUESTION

When I add a new cabinet to my plan and attempt to add glass doors to it, I am not able to select the Glass Doors option. How do I make glass doors when the option is grayed out other than selecting a glass door from the Library?

ANSWER

You will not be able to select the Glass Doors option until you choose a Door Style that Glass Doors can be applied to.

To add a glass door to a cabinet

  1. From the menu, select Build> Cabinet> Base Cabinet , and click in your plan to place a base cabinet.

  2. Next, use the Select Objects tool to select the cabinet, and click on the Open Object edit button to display the Base Cabinet Specification dialog.

  3. In Home Designer Pro, select the Door/Drawer panel, and under Door Style, use the drop-down menu to select Slab Doors, which allows you to check the Glass Doors Option.

Additionally, there is a selection of Glass Door styles that you can select by using the Library button located next to the Door Style.

  4. When you have finished making changes, click OK to apply them and close the dialog.
