QUESTION

I would like to change the line colors used in plan view for a variety of objects. How can I accomplish this?

Two separate floor plans with different line colors

ANSWER

Home Designer offers the option to change the colors used in the plan view for a variety of objects, including CAD, furniture, fixtures, and more. To change the line colors for these objects, access the Display Options dialog.

To change the line colors used in plan view for objects

  1. From the menu, select Tools> Display Options .

  2. Next, select the layer that is associated with the objects that you want to change.

For example, CAD objects, such as lines, splines, and rectangular polylines are located on the "CAD, Default" layer, which is selected in the image below.

Certain objects, such as CAD, also have a Line Style panel within their Specification dialog, where the Color and Style of the object's lines can be adjusted separate from the layer properties. Please refer to your program's Help documentation to learn more.
