QUESTION

How can I find information about my system to send to Chief Architect Technical Support for troubleshooting purposes?

ANSWER

Your computer's System Information file contains a variety of data that can help Chief Architect Technical Support determine the cause of problems that you might be experiencing within the software.

If you're using Chief Architect X18, Home Designer 2027, or a newer version, and you are able to open the Chief Architect/Home Designer program, a shortcut to the System Information file is available from within the program.

If you are using a legacy version, or you are unable to open the Chief Architect/Home Designer program, the System Information file can be retrieved outside of the program using your computer's file system.
