If you already have a website login for a Home Designer program download, click on the Sign In option near the upper right of the page.
If you do not already have a website login on the Home Designer website, , click on the Create Account link.
If you are signing up for a new Chief Architect Account, fill out the requested e-mail address and password information and click on the Submit button. A message will display advising that your Account was created, and activation instructions were sent to the e-mail address you registered with.
Check your e-mail, select the link in the message that says "Click here to verify your account," then sign in to the website using the e-mail address and password you selected.
Once you have signed in to the website, on the My Account page under Account settings, click on the "Choose a Chief ID" link.
Choose the user handle you'd like to use on the forum, and review the User Agreement, before checking the "I agree" box before clicking on the Add Chief ID button.
Once you've created an Account, signed in to the website, and created a Chief ID, you are ready to start using the HomeTalk forum.
On the Forums tab, under Discussion, click on the link to the Q&A section of the forum, then click on the blue "Start New Topic" box.
If you think your question may have been asked and answered previously, you can also choose to use the Search... forums feature above the "Start New Topic" Box located in the upper right of the window to look up prior threads.
Give your new thread a Title, a detailed description of your question, the program version you are using, and attach any helpful images, screenshots or zipped/compressed .plan files that may assist others in understanding your question, then click on the "Post New Topic" button.
