I used the Material Painter to spray paint different colors and textures. How do I reset the colors and textures back to their original values?
The Material Painter is a fast and easy way to change the appearance of objects in your plan, providing nearly instant visual feedback in 3D. The Material Painter tool also has the option to check Use Default and paint the object back to its default material.
To reset the material back to default
Select 3D> Create Camera View> Full Camera and create a view of the object that you want to change.
Select 3D> Materials> Material Painter> Material Painter Component Mode .
For more information on the Material Painter Modes see the article on Material Painter Modes linked in the Related Articles section at the bottom of this page.
In the Select Library Object dialog, check the Use Default Material box and click OK.
Then, click on the surface in 3D that you want to return to its default material.
Another method for resetting a component of an object back to its default material is to do so in its Specification dialog.
To restore an object's default material using the Specification dialog
Using the Select Objects tool, then click on the object to select it, then click the Open Object edit button to open its Specification dialog.
On the Materials panel, click on the name of the component that you would like to change, then click the Select Material button.
The specific dialog that opens next depends on the program version you are using; however, in all cases, you will have the option to Use default material.
Select this option and click OK.
Repeat these to restore the default material to any other components of the selected object.
When you are satisfied, click OK to close the object's specification dialog apply your changes.
